Fabulous tools for raising chicks. Keeps feed and water clean and healthy for most important stage of chick's life. :-)

I still have not received the feeder. Tomorrow will be a week since I received the waterers. Yesterday I finally received that stupid nesting box with no washers, ust enough tiny screws and tiny difficult to hold on to nuts. It has a Plastic tray. Wish I had ordered this from Best Nesting Box. There are no screws included to hang it in the coop as advertised. What a pain! Now I go searching through my husband's screw jar.

I think the concept is great. The waterer holds plenty of water but the cups are too low. There should be some plugs that will allow adjusting the cups up or down. I cant see any reason they are lower than the tank and hit the floor. I put a piece of wood under it to adjust the height but if there were a set of height adjusting plugs it would be fantastic. Im not sure the feeder was built for quail as the feed is way down there for little short necks, but by gosh they don't wast any feed! Very good quality product.

The feeders were just what I wanted and the perfect size. They fit in the brooder and the chicken coop. Excellent!

I was tired of the food and water constantly getting covered in shavings and poop and I really needed to find an alternative feeder and waterer. I did some research online and came across RentACoop and their products. The chicks had no problem converting to the new feeder and waterer and I love that I don’t have to fill the food constantly or worry they are out of water! Very great product!

We do not have our chickens yet but I know they will love the feeders and waterers. I will send photos once we get the chickens.

I am a new chicken owner. I first purchased a different/cheap system that while easy for the chickens, makes a total mess and waste.
Water System:
I bought the new feeder and water system about 3 plus weeks in. They still made a mess with the poultry cups and water was everywhere. I contacted the company to explain what was happening, the cups were over flowing, and they advised me that they were probably defective and they replaced the cups immediately, the new ones are better.
I should also note that while waiting for the cups I went out and purchased the cups with the little yellow tab inside that they would have to peck on to dispense...they did not peck to release water, they went thirsty all day !! ugh. I guess those cups take more training.
Feeder:
Despite the big opening and small one, I think the chickens are used to the old one and the smaller chicks were not sticking their head in the feeder, so maybe I need to start it from the beginning when they first arrive. I will try again with the next batch. I have left it in the brooder with the other one to make sure they eat and the bigger babies put their head in and there is ZERO waste !!
Trial and error for me but it will be a great system when I start from the beginning !

Our chicks are 6 weeks old. They don't seem to be able to find the food and the water leaks all out from them scratching pine shavings into the cups so all the water drips out. Have raised it up and no change!

Looking forward to having our young flock move into the restored coop to use these two items! Perfect fit for the smaller coop and would work well with a larger brooder. Excellent quality.

Glad I bought.

These feeders and watered make my life as a beginner back-yard chicken farmers much easier! I also ordered the full size chicken water and feeder and when the time comes, I’m fully confident those will be awesome too. Great products.

My chicks are loving their new feeder and I’m loving that they’re wasting less food and making less of a mess!

I've raised chicks in the past and it's always smelly. Not this time! My chicks are three weeks old and there has been no smell issue. I introduced the feeder on day three or so and they were eating from it the next day no problem. I was really excited to get the waterer in, but it recommended seven days old. Mine didn't take well too the nipples and prefer the cups so far. Even the cups stay so much cleaner than traditional waterers! They get a little dirty now that the chicks are older, but they're messy critters.
Highly recommend!
