🐓 An alternative to a heat lamp. Less of a fire risk. A heating plate simulates a hen keeping chicks warm and cozy beneath her feathers.
🐓 Chicks stay warm by direct contact with the underside of the plate. The bottom-side surface of the heating plate is hot to human touch but not too hot for chicks
🐓 Height easily adjusts from 1" - 7" with 25 adjustable height settings using the clips on the legs to accommodate the size of your chicks.
🐓 10” x 10” heater plate warms up to 15 chicks. Uses only 15 watts/hr versus up to 250 watts used by a heat lamp.
🐓 12” x 12” heater plate warms up to 20 chicks. Uses only 22 watts/hr versus up to 250 watts used by a heat lamp.
🐓16” x 16” heater plate warms up to 30 chicks. Uses only 42 watts/hr versus up to 250 watts used by a heat lamp.
🐓 16”x 24” heater plate warms up to 50 chicks. Uses only 66 watts/hr versus up to 250 watts used by a heat lamp.
🐓We recommend optional the plastic plate cover to prevent chicks from roosting and pooping on top of the plate.
Highly recommend just for the peace of mind. It stays clean and the babies seem to love it. The small size was perfect/big for three ducklings, but I almost wish id gotten the next size up because they grow so fast. Love that the legs are so adjustable!

Used it and found it a very simple gadget . It did the job and did not have to worry in burning my shop like when I used heat bulbs. I highly recommend it.

I own 2 of these now. I love how you can adjust them so they are higher on one side for bigger babies and lower for smaller. : )

I really love the chick brooder plates! We bought the smallest one and the biggest one as we were raising 6 chickens in two brooders! We had no “pasty butts” with these as I did when using the heating lamp! The birds loved that they had a little heated “hideaway” The quality is awesome and durable! The birds also used as a perch! I really like all the products I bought from RentACoop!

Purchased a different brand (orange with gray snap on sides) which did not get warm enough for the chicks. Frustrated, I started researching the net trying to find a unit that was both rated well and reasonably priced. So glad that we opted for this choice! Chicks have stayed nice and warm and the unit is easily adjusted to accommodate their growth. Chicks are now almost a month old and this unit continues to serve us, and them, very well. Highly recommend this heater to anyone looking for a safe and effective way to keep their poultry warm.

We ordered this brooder heat plate when other, more expensive brands were sold out. This one has more real estate to accommodate our 10 growing chicks and is VERY easy to adjust up and down as our girls feather out and grow! We are thrilled with it's performance thus far (We've had it just about 8 days now) and although we didnt get the topper to discourage the girls from perching on top of it, it scrapes clean with little effort.
Shipped to us in just 3 days. We are THRILLED with the service and will continue to shop with RentaCoop! :)

Great heater. It’s safe and effective while only consuming 15 watts (10x10) of power.

We love our purchase and so does our new baby chicks. Easy setup.
I can sleep easy knowing safety is first.
Thank you!

Wish I had known about this type of heater years ago - it is heads above the traditional light. The chicks will move on top if they get too warm. With the light, the entire brooder was roughly the same temperature. The fact it adjusts as the chicks grow makes it very versatile. I would recommend buying a larger size than you think you need though. I bought the size for the number of chicks I was expecting, got a few less chicks and still seemed to have an overcrowding issue underneath it.

Works great. Very versitile.

I am in the poultry business, I generally work with 2, 12x12 but this time I decided to get the larger unit. I think chicks need a little higher heat so the first few days I cover the plastic tub with towels to trap more heat and as the chick ages over the next week I adjust the towels to allow more heat to escape. Because I have so many birds in there, I allow a bit more room underneath plate, then was suggested. It is a great product and I like the fact we have moved away from the 100watt colored light bulbs as they are no longer available and were expensive to operate. For my climate the 250 watt heater lights is just too much. Plus, I am always concerned with fire risks. Added bonus is night time they get a true dark night time, altho I have lights on for them till about 11:30pm. I really like the plate system.
Rent A Coop shipped fast and the product arrived fast. Great company to do business with.

Seems like a much safer option than a heat lamp, and the height adjustability is awesome while they grow. I work 12 Hour nights so the heat lamp was a worry while I was gone to work.

The heater takes the guesswork out of how warm the chicks should be. If they're quiet they are happy. Also, peace of mind that it won't catch on fire. I would recommend using the top though so they don't poo all over it. :P

First time raising chicken. At first, I was going to use the lamp, but after reading so many reviews I finally caved for the safety of the chicks and our house. The brooder is very reasonably priced and include shipping. It is very easy to assemble. The chicks loved it after couple minutes of walking around it. LOL anyway, I think it is well worth the price. The chicks are now 2 weeks old. I adjusted the legs higher. They still love going under it. They sleep very soundly at night. Thank you!

Best thing we have ever purchased for our chicks. So much safer than the heat lamp and they love it. Will recommend your products to everyone we know with chickens. Thank you for making such a wonderful product.

We recently added 10 chicks to our home. I bought the RAC Heating pad to keep the chicks warm, and not only does it do that, but I it does it safely... for my chicks and my human children (ages 3,5 and 7).
I don’t worry about a fire hazard as I would have with a lamp... and the chicks LOVE it. The best purchase I have made for them so far (well, I also got the feeder kit but we haven’t used it yet because it will be a while before they are in the coop - stay tuned for that review, but I am sure it will be just has great).
Thank you!!
